課程概述	前2/3週左右由老師講授與主持討論，同學務必於課前閱讀教材，以便參與課堂討論（佔20%評分），期使同學先有一全面而完整的背景認識，以利隨後之專題討論。同學第一週起便須開始思考自己有興趣專研那一個題目，並於4月24日前繳交報告大綱，以排定口頭報告日期。最後幾週就同學之論文題目做深入討論，論文口頭報告至少20分鐘。希望藉由此一學術論文寫作訓練過程（包括如何蒐集與分析資料，論文口頭報告與撰寫），使同學在東北亞安全領域上，有全面、完整的學術研究訓練。
課程目標	現今全球矚目的國際焦點有兩個便存在於東北亞（朝鮮半島和臺海），加上東北亞是我國所處的地區，此區域安全局勢在目前的快速演變，勢必對臺灣造成深遠影響，這亦因而成為現今國內、外國際關係學界備受關注的研究領域。本課程之目的即在培養國內東北亞安全議題的專才，一方面先使同學對東北亞安全議題有一完整的背景認識﹔另一方面藉由專題學術論文撰寫的訓練過程，使同學找出自己在此領域的興趣所在，並具有搜集資料及分析的獨立研究能力。
課程要求	1. (20%)：閱讀教材、上課出席與參與討論(每人做一次課堂讀物之摘要報吿, 書面至少一頁, 於報告當天發給老師及同學) 2. (20%)：學期論文口頭報告與評論 3. (60%)：學期論文：為確保論文的順利進行，學生須在4月24日前選定題目，並繳交一份至少300字報告大綱，說明研究計劃與資料來源，並經老師同意。大綱將列入學期論文成績計算(佔10%)。寫作格式與要求重點，將於第一堂課說明。學期論文題目可自專題討論之內容選擇或自選。
